We are so proud of our team athletes! (3/4/2010)

The Olympics have come to an end and we are super proud of all our team athlete's efforts. They have given their all in the strive for the medals. Totally, we were represented by almost 54 athletes from all over the world.

Among these, four medals were won:

Julia Mancuso (USA) Silver X 2
Previous Olympic gold medalist, finished second in both DH and Super Combined which gave her two silver medals. What an amazing woman! There aren't words to describe the quality of Jules's skiing. Struggling with injuries and looking to find the "zone", the timing couldn´t be better. Julias downhill runs were amazing but we must admit that we were not expecting her slalom to reach anywhere close. And then she performs a run which is technically superb. Aggressive, distinct with great tempo and flow.

Hedda Berntsen (NOR) Silver
The former alpine racer and X Game medalist, showed everyone how to manage the tricky Ski X course and ended up second. Determination is probably one of the most important assets for Ski X athletes. Hedda has loads of it. You could see it in her eyes and every move. Excellent performance!

André Myhrer (SWE) Bronze
André who came in fourth and just missed the podium in Turin, did an amazing Slalom race which earned him a bronze medal and gave him a well deserved spot on the podium. Even though we strongly believe in everything André does, we were a bit downcast after his first run, ending at 10th place. But André knew what he was capable of and after that phenomenal and sparkling second run, where he skied faster than everybody else, he made it to the podium. It was one of the most exhausting and nail biting occasions we´ve experienced.

Apart from medals there were numerous impressive results, for example:

4th Maria Pietilä Holmner (SWE) - Slalom
4th Karin Huttary (AUT) - Skier X
5th Simon Schoch (SUI) - Snowboard: Parallel Giant Slalom
5th Hans Olsson (SWE) - Super Combined
6th Anna Holmlund (SWE) - Ski X

Soon its time for the Paralympics and we are excited to follow our team members. Keep an eye on Sit Skiers Petter Ledin (SWE) and X Games gold medalist Kees Jan van der Klooster (NL)
