Conny Karlsson Chairman of POC (11/25/2007)

The shareholders of POC have today unanimously elected Conny Karlsson, Bo Håkansson and Sven Sandberg as new Board members.

Conny Karlsson, Chairman of the Boards of Lindex and Swedish Match and Board member of Telia Sonera, has accepted to be Chairman of the Board of POC.

"In a very short time frame, POC has established itself as an international player within personal protection for skiing. Going forward we are broadening the offer to include bicycling, and other gravity sports. I am exited about the possibilities and glad to join this dynamic team. POC's CEO and founder Stefan Ytterborn remains as Board member. Thomas Svensson, COO of the Farstorp Group and Fred Wikström, CFO and co-founder of POC, were elected as deputy Board members.

Short facts about the new Board members:

Conny Karlsson, Born 1955, is Chairman of the Boards of Lindex, Zodiak Television, SEB Investment Management and Swedish Match and Board member of Telia Sonera and Carl Lamm. Mr Karlsson was CEO of Duni, taking the company from a turnover of SEK 2bn in 1990 to 6.5bn in 2000. Prior to that he worked 12 years at Proctor & Gamble, where he crowned his career as advertising Manager of P&G UK, with total responsibility for European advertising. Mr Karlsson is an enthusiastic alpine skier.

Bo Håkansson, Born 1946, M. Sc. in Economics, is Chairman of the Boards of Farstorp, Biolin, Hansa Medical, Exini Diagnostics and Malmö Börssällskap. Mr Håkansson is also a Board member of Genovis, Sydsvenska Industri- och handelskammaren and Lunds Universitets Utvecklingsbolag. He holds an Honorary Doctorate at the Medical Faculty of Lunds Univerity. Mr Håkansson is a gung-ho skier and enduro motorcycle racer and has been an entrepreneur throughout his adult life.

Sven Sandberg, Born 1955, M. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Electronics, Luleå University of Technology, is Board member of Midelfart Sonesson. Mr Sandberg is the former co-founder and CEO of the advertising agency Sandberg & Trygg and an avid skier and mountain biker.
