POC nominated for "DESIGNPREIS 2009" for the third consecutive year (6/16/2008)

POC has again been nominated for the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany, Germany's highest distinction in the field of design. The nominated POC products are the POCito children's helmet and the Synapsis free ride helmet.
POC was awarded Gold for the Skull Comp helmet in 2007 and Silver for the Lobes goggles in 2008 in this prestigious international design contest.

"It is not possible to submit an entry for the Design Award. Instead, products must be nominated either by the Ministries and Senators of the Federal States or by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. Moreover, the products must already have won a national or international award. Thus, the Design Award is known as the Prize of Prizes", says Andrej Kupetz, Managing Director of Rat für Formbebung.

"We are extremely grateful and humble to get this nomination. It's a special award", says Stefan Ytterborn, CEO POC.
The jury will announce the winners in September 2008 and the awards ceremony will take place during the opening of Ambiente - the International Frankfurt Trade Fair 2009.
